Yoga & Meditation

Join us at the Franklin Library for an hour-long class of yoga and meditation suitable for all levels.  Our certified instructor will guide you through a gentle and invigorating yoga practice that involves movement, breathing techniques, and meditation.  Chairs are available for those who need to modify positions.

Beginners' Pilates (New Location)

In this Pilates class you will learn basic Pilates principles, how to change your posture to improve pain syndromes, strengthen the entire body and core muscles, and improve flexibility.

 Dates:  January 22, February 26, March 26, April 23, 2025 (4th Wednesday of each month)   (No classes in December 2024)

Adult Stretch

Adults ages 16 and up are invited to an afternoon session of stretching and more!

Donna Gambino is owner of Infinity Health in Centerville, a licensed physical therapist, certified Pilates instructor, and fitness author with over 30 years experience.   DONNA’S STRONGEST BELIEF is that if you perform the correct exercises with the right mind work, your body will respond by changing its presentation to the world via changes in your posture, thus allowing pain syndromes to lessen or dissipate completely. Your issues are in your tissues, and through the therapeutic power of awareness you can heal yourself.

Next Destination Outdoor Adventure Series

The Franklin-Springboro Public Library and the City of Springboro's Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee are cohosting the Next Destination Outdoor Adventure Series.  All programs are at the Springboro Performing Arts Center. 

-Walking the Camino de Santiago-The Portuguese Way

Join Andy Niekamp as he narrates his trek on the Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago, from Porto, Portugal to Santiago, Spain.  This 19-day, 220-mile journey takes you through stunning coastal views, vibrant cities rich in history, shrines, and much more.

-Bikepacking: A Beginners Guide

Bikepacking involves adding accessories to a bicycle and embarking on overnight trips.  Cyclist Lance Smith will examine some basic options so you can get started on your own long-distance adventure.

-Highpointing the 50 States

Ronald Schilb, an avid adventurer, has conquered 49 of the 50 high points without the aid of a guide.  He meticulously utilized guidebooks and leveraged information from the High Pointer's Club.  Learn about equipment, conditioning, considerations for children, drafting a comprehensive plan, referencing essential resources, and much more.

Beginning Carving

Learn the basics of carving with Bob Caughron from the Miami Valley Woodcarvers Association.  Various knife cutting skills will be taught.  All materials are supplied.  Participants will take home their own carved creation.
