Children beginning kindergarten in the 2023-24 school year and their grown-ups are invited to a library program where children can practice skills that will prepare them for school.
Kindergarten Kick-Start will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturdays, July 29, August 5, and August 12, at the Franklin Library.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required. Please call the library at (937) 746-2665 to sign up.
This three-week program features new activities each week, so we encourage you to sign up for all three sessions.
Program will include a short storytime followed by learning stations that children and their grown-ups can explore together.
The stations will focus on kindergarten knowledge like ABCs, 123s, shapes, and colors; skills like cutting, gluing, and writing; and soft skills like taking turns, raising your hand, and listening.
Parents or caregivers must remain with their children throughout the program.
