Living In a House Made From Garbage

Construction of Blue Rock Station, the first 'Earthship' east of the Mississippi, began in 1996.  It is a home made of tires, bottles, and assorted salvaged materials designed by famed architect Michael Reynolds.  Join Jay Warmke as he shares lessons he and his wife Annie learned while putting their vast construction expertise...none...into action while creating their own sustainable living Earthship in southeast Ohio.  Some of the topics covered include building a plastic bottle greenhouse, building a vaulted straw bale wall, and building a tire foundation.  If you've ever visited the Garden Station near the Oregon District, Jay helped with the construction of the plastic bottle greenhouse.

The Warmke's have been featured on Our Ohio and MTV's Teen Cribs program.
