Policies & Services

The Library provides access to:

  • over 140,000 books;
  • 24, 888 movies, music, audiobooks, playaways, and video games;
  • 411 digital reference and business databases;
  • over 130,000 downloadable eBooks and audiobooks;
  • fax and color copier services.

In 2012...

  • 250,640 patrons visited the library;
  • 528,673 items checked out;
  • 30,251 people were library card holders;
  • 3,129 new library cards were issued;
  • 45,433 patrons used public internet computers;
  • 500 programs were offered;
  • 22,150 patrons attended programs;
  • 3,440 patrons participated in the Summer Reading Program
  • 449 visits were made to homebound patrons
  • 395 outreach trips were made to schools and daycare centers;
  • 105 people helped with AARP Tax Aide service;
  • 843 attended GED classes

Donations

The Franklin-Springboro Public Library is not accepting donations of books, magazines, movies, music, or audiobook at this time. If you are interested in making a monetary donation or tribute gift, please contact the library.  Thank you for thinking of us.

Email Notification

If you would like to receive email notification of upcoming due dates, overdue items and items ready to be picked up, please let us know.

Homebound service

Can't come to the Library? Let the Library come to you! If you are a resident of the Franklin, Carlisle or Springboro area, and are homebound, you qualify! All you need is a current Franklin-Springboro Public Library card to begin this service.

We will deliver materials to your door!  Simply tell us what you enjoy.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan is a free service offered to patrons who reside, own property, or own a business within the Franklin-Springboro Public Library service district.  It is used as a means of providing material not available in the Library’s collection where purchase of such material is not possible or is not deemed appropriate.  The Library will loan material, at no charge, to other libraries upon request when the loan will not interfere with public service.

Please allow extra time when requesting Interlibrary Loan materials since delivery schedules and availability may be limited.

Interlibrary Loan materials may not be renewed.

Internet Access & Public Computers

The library provides free access to the Internet and Microsoft Office products. The Franklin Library has 20 public access computers, while Springboro Library has 12 public access computers.

Meeting Rooms & Application Forms

Does your group need a place to meet? The Library can provide meeting spaces for your non-profit group.

Please fill out the PDF [6] Meeting Room Request Form [6] and bring it to the library.  Hand it in at the front desk and a staff member will review it.
