Straw Bale Gardening is a container garden where the bale serves as the container. Learn the 10-day, step-by-step process of preparing a straw bale for a successful garden.

Pallet Gardening is planting a garden using the spaces between the slats of a wooden pallet. With Alfred Hall's seven steps you can have a bountiful garden almost anywhere.

Alfred Hall is the owner of Terrapin Farms and Eden (Urban Gardening Center), and is Executive Director of Hamilton Garden Systems (HUGS). He specializes in alternative gardening techniques in urban settings.
