College Funding 101

Wondering how you're going to pay for college?  Curious about ways to save for your children's education?  It's never too early to begin planning for college.

Matthew Close, Financial Advisor with Prudential Insurance Company of America will present strategies to save for college including 529 College Savings Plans and Coverdell Education Savings Accounts.

Ready4Success Job Workshop for Teens

findajobTeens, ages 14-18, are invited to join us at Franklin Library on Thursday, March 9, 2017, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm (may end early.)

Come enjoy a fun filled workshop learning the skills needed to land the job you want. Whether you have job experience or are new to job searching, there is something for everyone. We will explore several topics from how to fill out an application to how to dress and prepare for an interview. After this workshop, you will have the skills and techniques to land employment with enjoyment!  There will be an opportunity to participate in an upcoming job fair just for teenagers.

Character Cupcakes with Maggie

Maggie will instruct T(w)eens, ages 9-18, how to decorate cupcakes to turn them into specific characters!
Cupcakes are provided.
Note: Participants will select characters and may not be able to make every character.
 

Character options are: Princess Leia, Cookie Monster, Harry Potter Sorting Hat, Heart Eyes Emoji, Cheshire Cat, Charlie Brown

Grossology Program

The library will host a program filled with icky, gross learning opportunities and fun from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday April 8 at the Springboro Library.

The program is for children and teens, ages 6-16.

A presentation, hands-on experiments, and activities will be included.
