Gentle Yoga/Relaxation Class
Do you have a desire to try yoga and not sure where to start?
This class is perfect for you!
In this introductory class Karen Moss from Leelaa Yoga will explore how to relax and become present with what is happening right now, mentally, physically and emotionally in the body and the mind.
~ Explore the breath and how the breath can relax us and reduce stress.
~ Engage in some gentle yoga poses and discover how to be present in our bodies and to respect our bodies.
~ Discover the "less is more" concept in the yoga poses as a way to go deeper into the pose, we move into softness instead of pushing ourselves.
The class is open to people who have never practiced yoga, to people wanting to deepen their current practice and to people who would like to explore techniques to slow down, relax and relieve stress.
We will end the class with a guided meditation just before our final relaxation pose.
Please bring a blanket and pillow, and a yoga mat if you have one.
Program is free and open to adults ages 16 and up.
